“The River” Goes Green with Borrego Solar

Boston, Massachusetts [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Radio WXRV, “The River,” is completing installation of a 3.7 kilowatt photovoltaic system to power their Boston facility. Borrego Solar Systems, which recently expanded into the East Coast market, provided engineering and installation services for the project. With an output of 400 kilowatt hours per month, the solar system will lower WXRV’s carbon footprint substantially, reducing carbon dioxide (C02) by over 186,000 pounds over the system lifetime, equivalent to removing a passenger car from the road or planting two acres of trees. Because Evergreen Solar, a Massachusetts company, manufactured the panels used in the roof-mounted system, the client netted a higher rebate.
