Terni, Italy [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] TerniEnergia will complete nine new photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 10 megawatts (MW) this month. Five of the new installations, with total capacity of 6 MW are being built with joint venture partners for the production and sale of electricity. The remaining four installations, with a total capacity of 4 MW, are being built for third parties.
Seven of the sites are located in Puglia, one in Marche and one in Umbria. The five installations, totaling 6 MW, that were built with joint venture partners included partnerships with EDF Energies Nouvelles Italia, EnergiaAlternativa S.r.l. and Energie S.r.l.
With the completion of all nine installations, TerniEnergia will have achieved, by the end of the third quarter, the goals it set for the whole of 2009 of installing 10 MW.
