SunWize Arranges Solar Financing for Government Agencies

A photovoltaic manufacturer in the United States has arranged financial options to facilitate the purchase of solar PV by government entities.

KINGSTON, New York, US, 2001-10-29 [] SunWize Technologies of Kingston, New York, has developed a joint program with Government Capital Corp of Southlake, Texas, to offer financing options for local and state governments, school districts, tribal governments, hospitals and universities that install solar energy systems. Solar systems are increasingly popular for school zone flashers, outdoor security lighting, water pumping, remote telecommunications, campground facilities and highway message signs. SunWize says it is an ideal power source where a continuous, reliable source of power is needed, and for remote locations with no access to utility power. “As more demands are placed on budgets, organizations are searching for ways to stretch available funds to acquire essential property,” says the company. Lease-purchase financing is an effective way for public agencies to acquire needed while maintaining control over budgets. Financing includes equipment, shipping, installation and other non-equipment costs. GCC provides tax-exempt rates with deferred payment options, and rapid turnaround throughout the 48 contiguous states and Puerto Rico. With financing flexibility, SunWize says it can design a solar power system without compromising customer needs due to budget constraints.
