SunPower Reports First Quarterly Results Since Going Public

[] SunPower this week announced its first quarterly earnings since becoming a public company. Revenue for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2005, was $29.3 million, up 34% from the prior quarter’s revenue of $21.9 million and up 523% from the year-ago fourth quarter combined revenue of $4.7 million. The company’s fiscal 2005 revenue was $78.7 million. The company narrowed its quarterly losses with a GAAP net loss for the 2005 fourth quarter of $640,000 or $0.01 per share, compared to last quarter’s net loss of $1.6 million or $0.06 per share and the year-ago fourth quarter combined net loss of $10.4 million. The company expects new capacity coming online to allow them to achieve “significant” quarter-on-quarter revenue increases.
