SunEdison Grows to 24 MW with Acquisition of Team Solar

Baltimore, Maryland and Sacramento, California [] SunEdison acquired Team Solar, Inc., a Northern California installer of photovoltaic (PV) solar electric systems. Combined with SunEdison’s operations in other active solar markets across five states, this addition of Team Solar’s 11 megawatts (MW) of experience brings SunEdison’s cumulative portfolio of installations to more than 24 MW. This transaction, which underscores the company’s commitment to simplifying solar for large-scale electricity consumers, is said to make SunEdison the nation’s largest solar electric contractor. SunEdison recently closed a $26.1 MM private equity round led by Goldman Sachs.
