Sputnik Ramps Up German Operations

Sputnik Engineering GmbH has transferred its operations from Stockach to Neuhausen, Germany. Sputnik Engineering plans to manufacture a total of 275 megawatts of inverters this year at the new facility.

The facility at Neuhausen provides of room for further expansion. This will allow Sputnik scope for handling short-term fluctuations in demand, according to the company.

“Germany remains our most important market — even when the feed-in tariff for solar energy is reduced as a result of next year’s amendment to Germany’s renewable energies legislation (EEG),” said Christoph von Bergen, managing director of Sputnik Engineering AG.
