Sputnik Doubles SolarMax S Production Capacity

Since the beginning of this year, Sputnik Engineering has been selling the new string inverter series SolarMax S. In order to meet what the company said has been great demand, Sputnik will open a new production facility in Biel, Switzerland next year.

“By buying the new building, we have been able to find a good short-term solution for our continued growth, and to double the production capacity of our SolarMax string inverters,” said Philipp Müller, Sputnik’s managing director.

The new building on Längfeldweg will have a operating surface area of 6,600 square meters. The Swiss inverter manufacturer will now be able to produce up to 100,000 string inverters between this new facility and its existing facility in Biel.
