Spire Provides Solar Module Testers for First Solar

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Spire Corporation has received an order for four SPI-SUN SIMULATOR 350i photovoltaic module testers from First Solar, LLC of Perrysburg, Ohio. The systems being provided to First Solar will be used to pre-test photovoltaic laminates and perform final module tests under simulated Air Mass 1.5 Global terrestrial conditions. Unique features of the SPI-SUN SIMULATOR 350i, including its upward-facing illumination and low height, make it ideal for incorporation into First Solar’s advanced automated module assembly line. Shipment of the SPI-SUN SIMULATOR 350i module testers is expected to begin in mid September 2005.
