Sovello Signs 120-MW in Sales Deals

Sovello AG, a producer of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, has signed long-term agreements with three German PV wholesale distributors. Signed in the fourth quarter of 2008, the contracts run from three to five years, respectively.

The deals call for the distribution of Sovello’s Pure Power Modules, which are made out of crystalline silicon. The company expects to reach a total production volume of more than 120 megawatts (MW) to help meet this demand.

The three contract partners are EWS GmbH & Co. KG, PV5 Solarconcept GmbH and Soleg GmbH. EWS signed a five year sales partnership agreement for a volume of approximately 50 MW. PV5 Solarconcept signed a deal for four years and a supply volume of approximately 40 MW. Soleg signed an initial agreement for three years with a volume of approximately 30 MW.
“We are very pleased to have signed with these competitive and experienced regional partners for distribution of our high-quality products ‘made in Germany,’ and who are joining us in our goal to become the most sustainable solar company worldwide. These long-term partnership agreements underscore our focus on customer-oriented product development, and we will support the distribution efforts of our partners with the appropriate marketing measures,” said Christian Langen, chief marketing and sales officer at Sovello.
