South Jersey PV Facility Unveiled

The first large solar electric generating project built under the NJ Clean Energy Program, known as Green Mountain Energy(SM) Solar at Southern New Jersey, was unveiled and dedicated on Thursday, May 16, 2002.

DEPTFORD, New Jersey – May 17, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] The array, located on top of the BJ’s Wholesale Club store at Deptford Center Mall, is larger than a Major League Baseball infield. The array is made up of 1,130 solar panels and an LED display, which shows real-time pollution emissions data from the array.
