November 18, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] MKS Instruments, based in Andover, Massachusetts and a provider of products that measure, control, power and monitor critical parameters of semiconductor and other advanced thin-film manufacturing processes, announced that it has reduced its company-wide workforce by an additional 120 people, as part of a previously announced strategy to reduce its operating cost structure. In addition to semiconductors, MKS’ products are used to manufacture a diverse range of products including solar panels.
