Solar Power Pumps Addressed at Conferences

November 7 , 2003 [] WorldWater Corporation executives addressed conferences in Switzerland and New Mexico on the company’s solar technology that powers pumps and motors up to 600 hp and provides alternative power in the event of blackouts. In Ruschlikon, Switzerland at the “Beyond Carbon” conference, sponsored in part by the reinsurance group Swiss Re, WorldWater Executive Vice President Dr. Anand Rangarajan discussed the impact of the company’s solar power capability on standard water service delivery. In Albuquerque, New Mexico, at a conference sponsored by Sandia National Laboratories and the U.S. Department of Energy, WorldWater Vice President of Operations, Dr. Chris Sherring, spoke about using the company’s solar technology to provide continuity of power supply in the event of grid blackouts, as occurred recently in the U.S. and Canada when 50 million homes, business and utilities suffered power interruption.
