Solar Power Lights for Israel and California

February 13, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Herzelia, Israel-based Millennium Electric TOU, a subsidiary of Miami Beach, Florida-based Universal Communication Systems’, has signed an agreement with Los Angeles, California-based Digital Light to develop lighting products using Super Bright LED’s energized by photovoltaic (PV) solar panels to be supplied by Millennium Electric TOU. The first two projects that the companies will work on are for LED/PV solar traffic signals and lights for the municipality of the city of Herzelia, Israel and for LED/PV solar lighting or signage for high-rise buildings in Los Angeles, California located close to the civic center. Digital Light is hoping that that this joint collaboration will put Millennium Electric and Digital Light at the forefront of a multibillion-dollar solid-state lighting industry.
