Solar Power Course in New York City

September 29, 2003 [solarAccess.com] On October 25, at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) in New York City, the course “Photovoltaics in Buildings: Design Guidance for Practicing Professionals” will cover PV cell and module technology; the application of PV systems; options, materials, and methods for using PV in buildings; codes, economics, and incentives for using PV in buildings; and detailed case studies of PV-powered buildings worldwide. Seven AIA credit hours will be awarded in the Health, Safety, and Welfare area to qualified architects attending the symposium. Course instructor, Steven Strong (President of Solar Design Associates and author of “The Solar Electric House”) whose latest project has been featured in the May/June issue of Solar Today, has been involved in the installation of three solar energy systems in the White House presidential compound.
