Solar Power Beats the Heat, High Bills

The kids were playing in the heated pool while the wife was vacuuming the living room and the husband was cleaning out a pond below the house. It sounds like a typical Sunday afternoon for many county residents, only for Art and Lesa Dorrough, they won’t be paying Valley Electric Association for the power they were using. A power conversion center, sitting on a corner of their kitchen shelf, tells Art Dorrough their solar panels are currently putting out 12.4 volts….
