Solar Power 2004 Success

The Solar Power 2004 conference, jointly organized and staffed by SEIA and the Solar Electric Power Association, was a resounding success, according to the organizers. SIEA and SEPA had originally aimed for upwards of 600 attendees, but the final tally showed that well over 1,000 actually attended. Registrants heard from the CEOs of the major solar manufacturers, the head of the California EPA, and panels of regulatory officials, venture capitalists and energy investors, successful solar entrepreneurs developing new business models, and Nobel Laureate researchers. The exhibit halls were generally packed throughout the conference, serving as the arena for a great deal of business-to-business contact, as well as consumer sales to some of the thousands of passers-by in these public buildings.
