Solar Irrigation Pumping System Completed

[] At a commissioning ceremony at Seley Ranches, Borrego Springs, California, WorldWater and Power unveiled what they are calling the “world’s largest” solar-powered irrigation pumping system. The company’s AquaMax system drives a 200 horsepower pumping system at the Seley Ranches facility. The 267 kW system is grid-connected, and can operate independently from the solar array, from the electrical grid, or from both sources if necessary. This also allows the system to net meter, returning excess solar electricity to the utility for credit if it is not required in the field.
