Solar Hopeful Relocates Facility

February 3, 2004 [] Advent Solar has relocated to the Albuquerque Technology Incubator, where it has established laboratory and office facilities. This will allow further development work to be conducted in Albuquerque that will complement the work already underway in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Photovoltaic Center of Excellence. The Incubator serves as an interim facility while the company evaluates potential sites for its production plant. The company also announced the election of Robert O. Johnson to its Board of Directors. Johnson brings over 25 years of photovoltaic industry market research and technology evaluation experience in his previous role as Vice-President of the market research firm Strategies Unlimited. Advent’s products will be based on its advanced proprietary solar cell design which Advent has exclusively licensed from Sandia National Laboratories. This technology offers the potential for significantly lower cost and higher performance than conventional solar cells.
