Solar Feed-In Rebate Rewards South Australians

Victoria, Australia [] The South Australian Rann Government announced legislation for a new “feed-in” solar rebate, which will boost the financial incentive for householders to harness the clean energy of the sun by installing solar panels on their roofs. Under the legislation, householders will be paid up to double the standard electricity retail price for putting surplus solar power back into the mains electricity grid. Solar power holds enormous potential to relieve the pressure on Australia’s stressed electricity network, which will need $24 billion in infrastructure investment over the next five years.
