Solar Company Sells Its Crystal Growth Technology

Helsinki, Finland [] Kauppalehti Online reports Okmetic Oyj has signed an agreement selling its crystal growth technology project to NorSun AS, a Norwegian solar energy enterprise that will establish a solar wafer factory in Norway based on Okmetic’s new technology. NorSun will be in charge of investments in production machinery. Okmetic will be in charge of investments in building the additional facility and in growing crystals on NorSun’s account. The project is expected to result in considerable financial gains, peaking in 2007 and 2008.
