Solar Company Expands European Office to Meet Demand

A company that manufactures machines to produce solar energy modules will expand its office in Germany to meet the increasing demand for solar power.

BEDFORD, Massachusetts – Spire Corporation will expand its subsidiary, Spire Solar Europe, to support its activities in Germany and other European countries. The Europe office has added technical staff at its headquarters in Schopfheim, Germany to improve support to its European customers as they expand their production capacity for manufacturing solar electric modules. “We have a large customer base in Europe that we have been servicing for more than 15 years from our office in Schopfheim,” says president and CEO Roger Little. “New orders for Spire’s manufacturing equipment have recently been received from a number of German and Portuguese companies.” “Many European governments are aggressively supporting the use of solar electric systems to provide clean, renewable, solar electric energy to their citizens,” he adds. “Germany is one of the leading markets in the world for Spire’s photovoltaic module manufacturing equipment.” Spire was recently listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It is a major supplier of solar electric module manufacturing equipment, turnkey production lines, and solar energy businesses with manufacturing equipment installed in 144 factories in 39 countries around the world.
