Solar Cell Manufacturer Signs Silicon Wafer Contract

Erfurt, Germany [] ErSol Solar Energy AG signed a contract with one of Europe’s largest wafer manufacturers Deutsche Solar AG, Freiberg, in Erfurt, pertaining to the supply of multicrystalline silicon wafers. This contract will apply from 2009 onward and will enable ErSol to generate an additional output of at least 100 MWp (megawatt-peak). The silicon wafer price has been fixed for the entire term of the contract. It is provided that ErSol will make downpayments in the two-digit millions (of euros), to be offset against subsequent payments for the purchase of wafers.
