SES to Bring Solar Dish to South Africa

September 9, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Stirling Energy Systems, a U.S. Renewable Energy company and Eskom, the largest electric utility in South Africa believe that “a major outcome of the World Summit should be mobilization of global, political and community will around a global partnership for sustainability,” through the ‘Johannesburg Legacy.’ Eskom is actively participating to bring about such a legacy. One such activity is a demonstration of the SES dish solar technology. Together, SES and Eskom plan to deploy this technology across South Africa, bringing clean, reliable and cost-competitive solar derived power to those in need throughout world.
