San Francisco Solar System Complete

November 5, 2002 [] This month, exactly a year after San Francisco voters overwhelmingly approved a US$100 million solar bond, San Francisco’s first solar project – a US$7.4 million solar roof and energy efficiency project at the Moscone Convention Center is complete. At 675 kW, this is one of the largest solar roofs in the nation. The system will be dedicated Thursday, November 21, 2002 with speeches from Robert Redford and Mayor Willie Brown.
