S.A.G. Solarstrom Installs 9.7 MW PV Project for GPR Global Power Resources

S.A.G. Solarstrom said this week that it is installing 10 photovoltaic systems with a total output of 9.7 megawatts (MW) in the South Italian province of Brindisi for GPR Global Power Resources. The company said that the ground-mounted systems will be connected to grid in April 2010.

S.A.G. said that the project build-out includes nine ground-mounted systems each with 999 kilowatts (kW) of capacity and one system with 710.4 kW of capacity, making a total output of 9.7 MW. Construction on the projects is currently underway. The project will employ polycrystalline modules from Yingli Green Energy as well as inverters from SMA.

GPR Global Resources Ltd. is a Zurich based company active in the purchase of renewable energy plants located throughout Western Europe. GPR said that its investment strategy is to source alternative energy plants delivering attractive returns for its investors through the development of strategic partners with operators at all stages of the value chain.
