Regional Director of Moms Clean Air Force to Speak at Solar-Powered Earth Day Event

April 1, 2015 – Elkridge, MD– Today Solar Energy World announced its April 25 Solar-Powered Earth Day Celebration. This family friendly celebration and workshop will take place from 11:00 am -3:00 pm at Solar Energy World headquarters in Elkridge, MD. Speakers will include Trisha Sheehan, the Regional Field Manager for Moms Clean Air Force.

The celebration will focus on solar energy as part of the clean air initiative in Maryland. Workshop topics include the efficacy of solar electricity production in Maryland’s climate and how tax incentives work at the federal and state level. Trisha Sheehan will speak at the workshop and provide an overview of air quality initiatives.

“We need to rapidly transition to a future that is less dependent on polluting fossil fuels, like coal, oil, and gas and rely more on renewable energy sources like wind and solar. Switching to solar energy is one of the best ways homeowners can help to improve air quality on a grand scale,” said Trisha Sheehan, Regional Field Manager for Moms Clean Air Force.  “Solar Energy World’s efforts to date have already reduced air pollution for Maryland’s families.”

This family-friendly event also includes roof tours of Solar Energy World’s Solar Electric System, live music by the Sloe Jim Duo, cookout lunch and moon bounces for little kids, face painting, baseball pitch, basketball toss, caricatures, balloon twisting, and Eco-Friendly prizes.
