PV Tracker Delivers Grid-competitive Solar Power

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The SunBall, a photovoltaic tracker currently under development by an Australian renewable energy company, will reduce the delivered cost of rooftop generated photovoltaic (PV) kWhs to below that available from the grid, making solar PV available for domestic and commercial electricity users. It will incorporate a high efficiency (greater than 30 percent) solar energy concentrator, automatic dawn-to-dusk max kWh internal 2-axis tracking system and a low operational PV cell temperature. Once testing assures 25+ years of life, reliability and ease of installation, the SunBall will be released to solar resellers and installers in a program that will ensure maximum kWh energy delivery.
