IPVEA joined with EU PVSEC to present the “PV Production Forum 2010” for photovoltaic manufacturing technologies at the 25th EU PVSEC and 5th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion. These notes summarize the event.
(September 24, 2010) — The International PV Equipment Association (IPVEA), an independent, non-profit organization of manufacturers and suppliers of photovoltaic (PV) fabrication equipment and related raw materials, joined with the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) to present the “PV Production Forum 2010” for photovoltaic manufacturing technologies at the 25th EU PVSEC and 5th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC-5) in Valencia, Spain.
The one-day forum attracted 250 participants in its three sessions about PV markets, silicon and thin film production today. Experts from within key companies addressed best practices and case studies that provide PV production management, purchasing staff and product managers with ways to increase throughput and efficiency, and to save money in production fabs. A breakdown of presentations in each session follows.
In the morning, the forum’s program featured presentations on the market situation and its future development. In the afternoon, two parallel sessions about silicon and thin film cell and module production were held by leading companies from the entire field of international PV production.
