PV Company Invests in China

February 12, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] NV Bekaert SA said they see growth opportunities for its existing operations in China and plans to invest €150-200 million (US$161-214 million) in China in the next three years. Although the company reported a full year loss of approximately €50 million (US$53 million) due to provisions and a non-recurrent impairment on its investment in solar energy, the company said 2002 was a record year for all its major units.
