PPM Offers Solar with No Upfront Cost

Pacific Power Management, LLC (PPM), announced that they have broken ground on the design and installation of a 1-megawatt solar electric system for Far West Rice, Inc. in Nelson, CA.

The panels installed will produce 100% of the plant’s power consumption. The Far West Solar installation is being built through a power purchase agreement with PPM. The multi-million dollar project qualifies for a $1,802,363 solar rebate from Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

“Going solar made sense from a business standpoint. Our electricity bill is estimated to be 10-20% lower on a yearly basis,” said Greg Johnson, Executive Vice President of Far West Rice, Inc. “It also means that our communities can breathe easier and continue to enjoy California and all its beauty.  We are excited to be involved in this technology and know that it will exceed our expectations.”
