PowerLight Breaks Ground on a 20 MW PV Project in Spain

Geneva, Switzerland [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Elecnor, S.A. and PowerLight broke ground on a 20-megawatt (MW) solar power system in the town of Trujillo, Caceres in Spain. The two companies plan to design, develop and deploy the solar power system named ‘La Magascona’, which will use PowerLight’s PowerTracker Solar Power System. The 20 MW project will be owned by Fotowatio Energia Solar, and will cover an area of approximately 100 hectares. PowerLight was recently selected by a leading solar developer for another 12 MW project in Spain, which will be deployed in 2007.
