Portland, Oregon [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Portland General Electric (PGE) has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a turnkey project to design and install a signature solar photovoltaic generation project at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon.
This signature solar project should maximize the amount of solar power generation and provide a pleasing design while staying within the established solar project budget cap of $480,000. The design is not constrained to one single project or site; the design can be for multiple sites with different designs at the Zoo. Responses to the RFQ must reflect a familiarity with the Oregon Zoo, the Zoo Master Plan and the Project Goals and Requirements as contained in the RFQ. The project must include an interactive display/kiosk to enhance the educational aspects of the project. A mandatory site conference for prospective design teams will be conducted at the Oregon Zoo Maintenance and Facilities offices at 4001 SW Canyon Rd., Portland, Oregon (Employee Gate A) on December 15, at 10:00 am. Attendance by at least one team member at this meeting is mandatory. Qualifications are due to PGE, January 12, 2006, before 2:00 p.m. Contact Bruce Barney, PGE Project Manager, 503-4654-7812.
