Partnership Brings Solar Power to the UK

July 3, 2003 [] Europe’s largest nature conservation charity is teaming up with English solar energy supplier Solarcentury to launch a unique package of domestic solar energy systems to RSPB Energy supporters. Going Solar is a package offering everything needed to create clean, emission free energy for the home. The package includes a choice of solar hot water and solar electricity systems, all supported by government grants and backed with low-interest loans from the Co-operative Bank. The Going Solar package includes an arrangement with RSPB Energy to buy back solar-generated electricity, along with a subscription to RSPB Energy, which matches consumption with renewable generation and supports the RSPB’s nature reserves and climate change work.
