Organic Farm Installs 17 kW Solar Array

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Full Belly Farm of Guinda, California installed a 17 kW solar photovoltaic array, which will provide for most of the farms electrical needs. The system consists of 90 Kyocera KC-187 PV modules supplied by Sierra Solar Systems, and installed on a south-facing barn by Affinity Energy. Any excess power produced will be fed back into the grid operated by Pacific Gas & Electric. Full Belly Farm covers 180 acres and has been in operation for over 20 years. They are well known across the state for their wide assortment of high quality organic fruits and vegetables. In addition to the solar modules, the system includes three SMA Sunnyboy inverters and a UniRac mounting system.
