O3 Energy Seeks Solar Projects to Finance; Launches Channel Partners Program

On Tuesday, September 26, Dallas-based energy solutions provider O3 energy announced the launch of its new O3 Channel Partners, which opens up financing to qualified solar projects in North America. The company has historically acted as a late stage developer offering Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for commercial and industrial clients scattered across the country. The channel partner program provides development and construction partners with the opportunity to obtain the resources and funding necessary to help close more projects in this space.

The company said it looks for shovel-ready PV projects ranging from 100kW-5MW, with qualified companies who possess a good track record.

Brad Stutzman, Chief Operating Officer of O3 Energy said the new program allows the company to provide outside developers “with same resources that have traditionally been available internally for O3 developed projects,” adding that he hopes the program will help advance the solar industry.

With the recent ITC ruling on the solar trade case, U.S.-based solar developers are scurrying to line up projects before potential tariffs take effect, which could happen as early as Q1 2018.
