Nominations Sought for NREL Award

May 30, 2002 [] The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is seeking nominees for the first Paul Rappaport Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Award. The national award will recognize outstanding contributions by an individual, team or organization that support NREL’s mission of advancing Renewable Energy and energy efficiency technologies, either through research or through the introduction of technologies in the marketplace. The name of the award is a tribute to solar energy pioneer Paul Rappaport, who served as NREL’s director at its inception in 1977.
