Nine MW of Solar PV Trackers for Spain

Spain’s major solar photovoltaic company secured several recent contracts that will involve the installation of 9 MW of solar electric modules mounted on tracking systems. Located in Almeria, Huelva, Cuenca, Toledo and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, each system will be comprised of 125 kW sections, connected to 100 kVA “SOLEIL” inverters. One single motor will move each set of single-axis mounted 125 kW modules which are connected to a data acquisition system that users can consult via the Internet. The “turn key” project that includes engineering, assembly and start-up of the facilities, will be developed entirely by ATERSA. ATERSA is currently working in Almeria and the installation of the photovoltaic plant is foreseen to be finished before June 2006.
