New Solar Projects for Spain Total 10 MW

[] Universal Communication Systems (UCS) sold 10 MW worth of solar cells to a community on the Spanish seashore. The entire system will be grid connected when it is complete. UCS was contracted by Prom SolEnergies to provide ten photovoltaic (PV) systems of 100 kW each. The entire system, which will be installed by Universal’s subsidiary Millennium Electric, will start at 50 kW and be expanded over a few years time. In addition, Prom SolEnergies will purchase $50,000 in PV products from UCS. This is part of a broader agreement to establish a 1 MW PV grid-connected system in Spain, valued at Euro 6 million (US $7.66 million).
