The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the Million Solar Roof’s Initiative, strongly endorsed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, is hitting a bit of turbulence from a variety of interests as it heads into the final legislative stretch. The bill would be the strongest solar energy bill ever passed in the U.S. and would increase the state’s use of solar energy to 3000 MW, up from just over 101 MW today. But the bill, despite high-profile backing and a bipartisan vote in the state Senate, is facing potential difficulties in the state Assembly.
