Augsburg, Germany [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Mage Solar GMBH, part of the globally operating Mage Group announced that it has been contracted to build a 1.5-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic system. Work on the system has already begun and is scheduled to be completed still in 2009, in a record time of only two months.
This project, commissioned by an investor group, will use 8,440 monocrystalline MagePowertec modules with a capacity of 180 watts each. The 1.5 MW system will be equipped with a non-tracking mount.
“Despite of Mage Solar’s aggressive international expansion policy, Germany is still our most important market world-wide”, said Norbert Philipp, CEO of Mage Solar. “The secret to our company’s success is that our strategic resource allocation reflects this accordingly. In contrast to many other companies in the solar sector, this allows us to have a positive outlook into the future.”
