Kyocera Ramps up Czech Module Manufacturing

[] Kyocera has launched commercial production of solar power modules at the Kyocera Solar Europe s.r.o. Czech Plant it officially opened in Kadan City, Czech Republic, on October 19, according to the JCN news service. The plant, which started a test run in April, will supply solar power modules to countries in Europe. Commercial production initially starts at about 500 kW per month (or 6 MW annually). Kyocera plans to boost the figure to up to 2 MW per month (or 24 MW per year), gradually increasing output to meet the demands in Europe. Now that it has the new plant in the Czech Republic, Kyocera has four global production centers: the other three are in Tianjin, China, in Mexico and in Ise, Mie Prefecture.
