Kyocera Plans to Boost Solar Cell Production

October 7, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Kyocera Corporation has announced plans to strengthen production systems in response to global growth in demand for solar power generating systems, mainly for residential use. Plans include bolstering solar cell and module production facilities in Japan and launching a module production plant in Tianjin, China. Kyocera will then increase production capacity on a step-by-step basis to achieve large-scale production of multicrystalline silicon solar cells and modules to 120 MW per annum in June 2004.
