Jinlong Industrial to Set Up Solar Cell Production Base

Taipei, Taiwan, ROC and Silicon Valley, California [DigiTimes.com] China-based Jinlong Industrial Group, one of the world’s largest producers of monocrystalline silicon and China’s largest supplier of solar silicon wafers, will establish a solar energy industrial park south of Shanghai with an estimated total investment of 2.064 billion yuan (US$258 million) over five years, according to the Chinese- language website Sina.com. The industrial park will be an integrated production base for solar cells.
