Wheaton, Illinois [] The Illinois Solar Energy Association, a 501-c-3 organization dedicated to educating the public about solar, wind and other forms of renewable energy, will be conducting workshops around the Chicago metropolitan area this spring and summer. The workshops, called Solar 101, will provide comprehensive and generic information about how solar energy can be used. The workshops will be held primarily on Saturday mornings, and are designed for home and business owners, decision-makers for public and nonprofit facilities who are considering solar energy systems for their buildings. Architects, engineers, realtors, developers, contractors, government officials and other professionals seeking basic information about solar energy systems will also benefit from how to choose between different types of systems, economics and regulatory issues.
