Groundbreaking in NJ for 1400 kW Solar Installation

Newark, New Jersey [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) President Jeanne M. Fox — along with Ted Turner and other DT Solar representatives — attended a groundbreaking for a 1,400 kilowatt (kW), roof-mounted solar electric system at Hall’s Warehouse Corp. The project brings New Jersey closer to its goal of 20 percent renewable by 2020. The solar electric systems will include almost 8,000 solar panels and are expected to produce 1,500,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity annually, eventually saving the business more than $600,000 a year. Once completed, the projects are expected to receive $4.59 million in solar rebates and incentives.
