groSolar to Expand with $2.25 M in Financing

White River Junction, Vermont [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] To fund groSolar’s national marketing initiative and expansion to new locations, the company has closed its first round of venture funding with $2.25 million investment in Series A financing. groSolar, a subsidiary of GRO (formerly Global Resource Options), is a solar integration firm based in White River Junction, Vermont, that is focused on designing, distributing and installing clean, efficient solutions for homes and businesses. It currently has offices in Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Colorado. The financing round included three funds that specialize in the cleantech and renewable energy sectors: SJF Ventures, Calvert Social Investment Fund, and Allco Financial Group.
