Global Solar Orders More Spire PV Laminators

July 31, 2003[]Spire Corporation, of Bedford, Massachusetts, a supplier of solar electric manufacturing equipment and solar electric systems for distributed power generation, sold two Spi-Laminator 460 machines to Global Solar Energy of Tucson, Arizona. The large area Spi-Laminator 460’s being provided to Global Solar will be used to manufacture the company’s expanding line of new thin-film, flexible modules. This order represents the second and third Spi-Laminator purchased by Global Solar in the past year. As a key part of the module production system, the lamination process encapsulates the thin films into a durable and weatherproof package before final assembly and framing.
