GE Adds Solar Jobs at AstroPower

About two dozen employees will be needed as third shift restarted at ex-AstroPower plant. Three and a half months after taking over Glasgow, MD-based AstroPower, General Electric Co. is expanding production of the firm’s solar panel assembly line, bringing back a third shift that was cut last year when the solar pioneer was experiencing severe financial problems.
