France to Double Solar Energy Payments

Forbes is reporting, via AFX News Limited, that the French Government has plans to go beyond the requirements of the Kyoto Protocol with respect to CO2 emissions. Among the government’s policies is a 50 percent increase in the price EDF, the country’s dominant electric utility, pays to buy grid-connected solar photovoltaic electricity.
