EPV Solar’s New Plant Shipping Thin-Film Modules

EPV Solar Inc., a thin-film solar module manufacturer and photovoltaic systems provider announced that a new 30,000 square foot, 20-megawatt (MW) production facility at the company’s headquarters in Robbinsville, New Jersey, is now producing and shipping production quantities of its thin-film amorphous silicon solar modules.

In June of this year, the company began equipment installation and all systems were in production by October. The facility is capable of producing 20 MW of modules annually, which will bring the company’s total production capacity to 55 MW.

This figure includes the capacity of EPV Solar’s 30 MW plant in Senftenberg, Germany, scheduled to come on line later this quarter, and its 5-MW Pilot Line in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Both the Robbinsville and Senftenberg facilities will manufacture UL1703- and VDE-certified thin-film modules and use EPV Solar’s proprietary equipment and technology.
